Should corporations designed to make profit take ethical considerations in decision making? The answer is yes, now more than ever. Business ethics is very important for any business. In a ‘shrinking’ world caused by the internet, good public relations and public perceptions are now important globally. However, ethical decisions are not simply tools to be used for public relations, but have greater effects even within the organization. Ethics contributes to profits, but in different way than the traditional teleological path where the ends justify the means. We begin by defining ethics in business. Ethics are â€Å"generally accepted rules of conduct that govern society† and are â€Å"unwritten rules we have developed for our interactions with each other† (Jennings, 2009).
